Fall Endeavors

Are you loving Fall as much as me? I just am so happy to finally wear flannel and put on boots.  The season brings chunky sweaters, bonfires, changing leaves, and pumpkin everything (I know). I feel like, historically, Fall also has seemed to be a season where I reflect a lot. I think colder air can make you sit back, take nice walks, and see the evident changes in nature.  And for me, it brings comfort.  In the changing seasons lately in my life, I can sometimes feel overwhelmed and stressed about how seasons start and end.  It can be frustrating and difficult. But the leaves around me remind me that seasons are bigger than just me.  I think God uses the leaves to show that change happens all the time, and that seasons are really okay. They can actually be beautiful

So in this Fall season, here is a small list of our latest endeavors.  We are...

Listening to: The Sufjan live album.  David and I just are loving it.  I went to the concert last year, so it not only brings back memories, but it also just is so stinkin good.

Watching: This is Us.  You may have seen my instagram, but guys... I got David hooked on it! Therefore we have recently just binged the whole season (and I binged re-watching it)... so now we are back on track and watching it live.  It has brought up good conversation, it is filled with excellent tunes, and frankly it is just so good!

Baking: I hate being that person, but pumpkin everything.  I am so guilty, and honestly not ashamed.  It is so good, it is warm, and it fits the season! I'll be blogging soon about the pumpkin cinnamon rolls we bought too!

Reading: Rising Strong by Brene Brown.

Searching: for our dream home still.  We are trying to figure out where we would want to set some roots (and trying to find a cool fixer upper).

Loving: Joanna's bags and Magnolia Market's latest stuff.  This Rifle Paper Co Fabric. And I may be getting some Artifact Uprising prints!

Wearing: my Target watch (see below), turtle necks (finally!), and lots of flannel.

Buying: so many plants. Always.  We have a problem.

Creating: I have finally been adding listings to my etsy shop!  These have included globes, signs, and cute stuff for your kitchen.

Trying: to weave wall hangings.  I'll be selling some of these at Playing Second Fiddle soon.  It definitely was tough to figure it out, but I just love learning new skills.

Thinking: about our dreams. In this new place we have been setting goals and dreaming about where we want to be.

Praying: for vision and peace through our transition.

So if you are in a season of change, take a look around.  Change is bigger than you, and even nature does it. And if you ask me, it is pretty stinking stunning.  So my hope is that you can look around. Hopefully the leaves might bring you some comfort too.

XOXO
