DIY Clay Candle Holder
I was getting ready to decorate for a table setting, and decided to make a quick DIY. I normally use my brass candle holders, but I wanted to switch it up. I have loved the terra cotta trends this year, so this is my attempt to make some quick and easy simple boho/rustic candleholders.
SUPPLIES
Clay
Knife/Pencil (to cut lines in clay)
Roller (you can even use the end of a spoon or something round)
Cup/Circle Stencil
Choose your clay color.
I went for a terra cotta look, so I combined brown and white (and a little red/yellow).
Cut out the base.
if you want, you can make it rounded around a bowl, or add a lip. It is totally up to you what aesthetic you want.
Create the lip
Cut out long strips of clay, and then wrap the around the candle to determine the size. Make sure to kind of mold the lip into the base of the clay.
Bake the candle holders
Follow the directions on your clay packaging for the right temperature and length of time. Also, don’t put your candles in right after baking them because it could melt the wax. So wait for it to cool, and then enjoy those cute candle holders!
