Pantone’s Color of the year

Pantone: “Classic Blue”

Okay- so to be honest, blue is one of my least favorite colors. Especially that royal-kind of blue. So when I saw Pantone’s color of the year is “classic blue”, I couldn’t help but be a little dissapointed. How was I supposed to implement that into my style this year?! Well, it may not be exactly the classic blue, but here are some of my favorite ways to incorporate a little blue into your life in 2020!

P.S. I’m from Indiana and the Colts are this color, and so was my school - so I blame my dislike for blues on an overload of blue growing up :)

In the home

Okay, like I said: I’m not a fan of blue overall. However, I do think you can implement it in a bedroom to add a calming and cozy element! Whether it is a blanket or a painted wall, there are many easy ways to include this color of the year. I love the large blue carpet paired with the leather couch.

Fashion

I think you can also incorporate the “classic blue” into your wardrobe. Of course, if you know me, you know I love denim. So this was my first obvious implementation of the classic blue into my fashion choices. However, you also can use a pop of blue in a scarf, hat, or shoes to add a little something to any outfit!

In the workplace:

I am a sucker for desk accessories and office supplies! These are a few fun little items you can include to put some “classic blue” in your office!

In the Kitchen

A pop of blue can be a fun addition in a lot of kitchens! It may be expensive to paint or replace all of your cabinets, but you can add a small towel or spatula to implement this year’s blue trend. Even a fun rug can give a clean and modern element to your kitchen. And, I mean, if you are looking to remodel, I am a huge fan of the navy/blue cabinet trend!

Of course, there are so many other ways you can incorporate blue into your life… but hopefully this gets your design inspiration brain in gear! Are you a fan of blues? How do you want to incorporate “classic blue” into your life this 2020 year? Comment below!

As always, with love:
