2019 Home Trends I'm Loving: Exterior

Hi Endeavorers. As you may know, I love, love, love interior and exterior design. And design overall. As I’ve been visiting a lot of stores I’m loved seeing some of the trends emerging each season. I figured I would post about some of these and I figured, why not start with exterior!

WOOD ACCENTS

This is something I’ve loved seeing this season and I hope is here to stay. I think wood accents give a warm feeling to buildings and are a great addition! You can see it from arches, to wood shutters.

EXTERIOR COLORS

Home Depot said this was the color of the year, and boy did I call it last fall! We painted this in my in-laws house inside and I love it. A rich yet fun color.!

BONUS TIP:

Whatever paint samples you pick, try putting them by your brick. What you see on Pinterest may not fit what your house requires!

Other Colors I like are gray and a deep green this season. And as always, white! I think colors can be a difficult task to tackle because it is expensive and difficult to do. I encourage you, if you are someone who likes taking risks, go for a color. It is such a statement and stands out! If you are not wanting to repaint very soon or looking for something a little safer and long term I encourage a more neutral color, like the white or gray.

FRONT DOORS

This is your time to shine, and customize your home’s look with a little less investment. Now don’t get me wrong, doors are way more expensive than you might anticipate and especially depending on the style. However, painting your door is a really efficient way to change the look. If you have more of a budget, the rounded doors are a very fun look for craftsman homes!

BLACK FRONT DOORS:

Guy’s I’m obsessed with these. You see them everywhere online and rightly so. What a statement, and does black ever go out?

Unique shaped doors

I love round doors. These are more of an investment so you have to either be anticipating this when you are building a home or plan on investing in a project. And it is a bit
